Probably the most legendary Verzuz battle took place last night via Instagram live from Kingston in Jamaica with Dancehall legends Beenie Man and Bounty Killer. Over 400 thousand people tuned into the live show created by renowned American producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. VerzuzTV started two months ago and it’s clearly becoming the Instagram page to follow. Previous Verzuz battles include Swizz Beatz V Timbaland, Ne-Yo V Johnta, T-Pain V Lil Jon and Erykah Badu V Jill Scott.
This was the first face to face Verzuz battle to take place online and it clearly showed a different energy level than the rest not only from the artists but by the audience as well taking the number one trending spot on Twitter. Not even the police could lock it off, even though they tried.
Jamaican culture was well truly represented last night leading everyone to wondering when they can book a flight back to the island!
