Within the last year, SDS has started an artist development programme with the purpose of providing up and coming artists with the resources, knowledge and guidance to further build their professional careers. We've recently been working with an artist by the name of Kaobi, formerly known as A.O.
Kaobi is a 25 year old rapper and singer songwriter from Croydon, who blends UK rap and alternative R&B forms together. He has previously performed original material at the O2 arena in Wembley to celebrate the FIFAe Nations Cup and has headlined numerous shows.
Through our artist development program, we’ve supported the reintroduction of Kaobi with his “I Am Kaobi Freestyle” and the release of his first official single “Lockdown”.
Kaobi’s smooth vocals paired with the soulful sounds of featuring artist Destiny, takes us on a journey of entrapment; being shackled to a partner who will never let you go. The mellow, alternative R&B track, with its Netflix and Chill inspired cover art, [designed by Tybert Designs] is the first of many ‘Kaobi Presents’ titles coming soon.
