Help Musician’s Hardship Fund Confirms Further £1m to Help Support Struggling Musicians

Words by Jade Reid

After almost 900 responses to their recent survey, it was made clear that many musicians are still struggling to make ends meet due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Arts Council England have given a combined fund of £650k, which has in turn offered at least £1m to the Help Musicians’ Hardship Fund 2022.

Those eligible will receive at least a one off payment of £250, with higher amounts available to those in more challenging financial situations.

Musicians can apply for hardship funding from Monday 31 January.

Follow Help Musicians on social media or signing up to their mailing list to find out as soon as applications open.
